Charity Swim 2014
Saturday 25th October from 10.00am until 2.00pm. Free swim for all members from the baby pool upwards.
You may swim for:- “distance badges” from baby pool up to 1500 metres (60 lengths)
You may just swim as many lengths as you can. “how far can we all swim in 4 hours?”
We want to add up the distance each and every swimmer swims and see how far we can get. Last year we swam 7800 lengths or 195 km in four hours
That looks unbeatable - or is it? Don’t forget to count and record every length that you swim. (three widths of the baby pool is one length of the big pool) (parents and friends may swim as well)
What do you need to do? Just turn up at any time from 10.00am until 2.00pm and stay as long as you like. There’s no charge. It’s free.
Leinster Graded Gala October 26th
Warm-up starts at 8.30am - 8.55am. Competitive swimming starts at 09.30.
Afternoon warm-up is from 14.30 to 15.20. Competitive swimming for the second session commences at 15.30
The gala should conclude by 18.30
The Diving Pool will NOT be available for warm-up (this contradicts information in the Programme - later clarification received from the NAC).
Car parking : The NAC have asked us to use car parks at the far end of the building. When you drive in from the road, take the first turn to the right and drive down the back of the building (do not park on this road - it must be kept clear for emergency vehicles). Parking is available at the end of the building (on gravel), at the lower end of the tarmac car-park, and in the overflow car park behind this (also gravel). Please do not park opposite the Leisure Pool (circular building) - this space to be reserved for other NAC clients and guests.
